Update In the P320 Airforce Shooting

Airman arrested for death that prompted Sig Sauer M18 review

• On the last episode we covered the most recent P320 developments but it appears that the incident that lead to a death of an airman may have more to it than the initial reports.
• The death of Airman Brayden Lovan, 21, prompted a full check of all of the M18 pistols, but it had been reported that the investigation had turned into a criminal investigation
• Now we have an arrest of an unnamed second Airman who is being accused of “making a false official statement, obstruction of justice, and involuntary manslaughter”
• At this point all we can do is speculate until more details come out, but given that the Swiss are seeing issues with the P320 family as well I can’t rule out a malfunction still being involved in the Airforce incident.
• Some may be crying that this vindicates SIG, but I hold that this is a much more complex issue that has only been compounded by SIG’s handling of it.
• I would caution those that are looking at this from either side of the debate from rushing to a conclusion with this specific

• Well it seems that even industry conferences can’t be free from industry drama and lawsuits and I’m not referring to the rather silly dust up over GunCon this year from the guys over at The Gun Collective. That GunCon thing was just bad, though, you’d think that they’d vet the venue better and the venue would be smarter than to create some big issue over a couple of people. Man I miss naked capitalism.
• Instead it seems that they have issued a Cease and Desist letter to Active Safety Designs while both were at the Gun Owners of America GOALS event.
• Now this is in poor taste for starters, this is an industry event. If it really was an issue of logistics for serving the paperwork (which I doubt) then wait until after the event.
• But this just adds fuel to my speculation that Rare Breed is chilling the market. There’s more lawsuits flying right now than I can keep track of and I’d encourage you to check out Stamboulieh Law on YouTube for some proper updates on what Rare Breed is up to. He’s been keeping tabs on all of the Rare Breed cases and doing a great job with his reporting. He’s not much bigger than me so check him out.
• As a side note, anytime you are thinking about taking legal action against someone, you need to think about not just the law but the court of public opinion as well.
• Rare Breed may win some or all of their suits, but I fear that they are not handling this well and are damaging their reputation with such a litigious stance towards so much of the competition and I’d argue playing right into the hands of those that want them to act like this.
• Again it looks like a roundabout way to control FRT’s and their production.

• In my YouTube comments I got called the TMZ of the gun world, or something like that. Well that’s probably Ben Stoeger, but I’m not beating that accusation today.
• Bob Vogel facing some serious charges for what I’ll call, activities with a severe age gap to try and keep this YouTube friendly.
• Right now everything is in the he said she said stage, but if charges are being filed then either someone at the DA absolutely hates Vogel or there’s something to this.
• At the moment there’s plenty of rumors and speculation to be had, but I can’t help but think of a similar situation with Will Hayden and his actions.
• I’ll reserve judgement once more facts are out, as we all should but this does not look good for Vogel and even if he is acquitted this is the kind of stink that just does not go away.
